I appreciate this because my upcoming schedule will be WFH on Wed and Fri! I’ve never done remote on Wed but I have to drive one of my kids to an evening activity and now I won’t have to rush home to get there in time. I have a longish standing meeting on Wed so that cuts into the time I’d rather be doing deep work or a walk or workout. More advice on workday rhythms would be great!
My husband is in the office Wednesdays which does really seem to work well. It’s based on the need for management coverage. I’m not in on a set schedule when I’m not teaching but meetings tend to be Wednesday PM. I’ve got a horrific commute though (3 hours each way) so tend to plan a lighter day the day after I am due in the office because I’m tired.
I agree. Granted I can work anywhere, but I choose to have a couple of days a week where I go to a coworking space. I do love keeping Wednesdays and Fridays as work from home days. Wednesdays are typically the first day of the week where I have no meetings. And Friday often becomes my "plan
b day" where I can focus on things I didn't get to throughout the week.
