I need to get better at this. We're forever buying a snack b/c we don't have anything in the house / with us. I started buying the aluminium bottles from cafes, they are a tiny bit more expensive than plastic but more durable, nicer to drink out of, and I can refill them and am not super sad when I inevitably lose them. Plus aluminium is recycled at much higher rates than plastic.
@Coree- I like those aluminum can water bottles - I got one in a hotel in June and have still been using it this week. That's pretty good for a "disposable" product (even if it is recyclable)
Great tip! We’ve always got snacks on hand for the kids in any and all backpacks, bags, purses etc. It definitely has saved me when I remember to pack 1-2 extra granola bars for the grown ups! (I’m also not opposed to gulping down an applesauce pouch in the summer!)
Yeah, the other ones definitely have milk products, the Ritz has more of the "may contain" language (like it's made in the same facility) so I go with that.
A very timely reminder. Going with the family today to a water park – where the snacks and bottled water cost more than at the airport. It's scary. This reminded me to stop by a supermarket to pick up some snacks for the girls that will save about 80%. This is a super popular water park, so we'll also avoid lines to buy those snacks... and have more time to splash about.

love this!
I’m like you but with low BP so I always have a sour Granny Smith apple with me and I keep SaltiCrax in my desk drawer and car.
It's good to be prepared!
Double all this if you're diabetic!
Oh, definitely!

What is with those apple sauce pouches?? My kids love them...
Haha, I too am partial to Ritz PB crackers - always have them on hand. (not Lance or Keebler) :)

@Frank - have fun at the water park! And yes, those water bottles are always crazy expensive there...
