It's almost spring - here's how I did on my Winter Fun List
An update on my season-specific adventures
We had a full-on blizzard the last week of February, so I’m wary of declaring winter “done.” There has been a lot of snow, and a lot of freezing weather. But it has to end at some point! Early March brought almost summer-like temperatures to the Philadelphia area, and that was quite welcome.
A few months ago, I posted my Winter Fun List — things I wanted to do to try to enjoy the season. Here’s how I did on the list.
Eat at a restaurant with a fireplace. In the span of one weekend I ate at my favorite Mexican place (where they had the fire going), I stopped by a Starbucks that had a fireplace, and I did some work by the fireplace at Panera. I celebrated Valentine’s Day weekend by eating at 1906 in Longwood — I didn’t see a fireplace, but it was a memorable winter dinner anyway!
Light my office fireplace. I reminded myself to do this and did. I’m pretty sure I turned it on at least 20 times over the course of winter.
