One of my favorite time management rules is to plan the upcoming week on Fridays. When you determine your priorities for the week ahead and figure out what you’ll do when, you will make progress on what matters most — at work, at home, and for yourself.
That sounds straightforward enough. But I have discovered over the years that many people craft beautiful plans for the week…only to forget about them until their next weekly planning session. Other people look at their plans in the morning but lose sight of them as the day goes on. Suddenly, it’s near quitting time and they’re frantic (or staying late) because half the stuff that needed to happen didn’t get done.
So how does one solve that problem? It’s simple.
