Like many larger families, we buy a lot of things at Costco. The prices are good, and the quantities don’t scare us. We go through 3 dozen eggs quite quickly!
However, over the years I noticed that we have often wound up with more of an item than intended. With, say, ketchup, someone might vaguely know that we often need ketchup, and go to Costco and see it. We’d buy it because, hey, we often need ketchup!
Then we’d get home and see three gigantic bottles already there, because this same thought popped up during the last Costco trip too.
So now, whenever we shop at Costco, we go with an alternate list:
