How to (finally!) make progress on your personal to-do list
Life administration is work...so treat it as such
As I’ve been looking at time logs lately, a number of people have mentioned a similar problem: they’re struggling to get through their personal to-dos. They have long lists of life administration tasks, and little time to tackle them.
Yes, kids, a home, and your own personal needs (dentist appointments! getting your hair cut! glasses or contacts!) all generate tasks. It is hard to do these tasks while taking care of little kids. While I feel like I spend too many of my potential work hours tackling these matters, other people don’t have this option. Their work does not permit space for these things. This can lead to a lot of stress.
But that doesn’t mean you’ll never get that dentist appointment scheduled. Here’s how to tackle your personal to-do list, even if your job isn’t particularly flexible.
