Mornings are a great time for getting things done. Unfortunately, people often waste a lot of their first-hour-of-work energy deciding what to do. That’s why I advocate taking 5 minutes or so, before quitting time, to plan out the following day. You look at the hard landscape, and assign other tasks around those commitments.
That’s straightforward enough, and you can do this on the way out the door if you’d like. But, if you’d like to make tomorrow even better, I’d suggest doing this ritual about 30 minutes before the end of your workday.
Why? It’s pretty straightforward.
