One of my favorite suggestions for people looking to have more fun in life is to plan one big adventure and one little adventure each week. A big adventure can take 3-4 hours (think half a weekend day). A little adventure could clock in at less than an hour, as long as it’s something out of the ordinary.
I find this cadence won’t exhaust anyone, but it makes life feel a lot more exciting.
Of course, one of the biggest objections I hear to this suggestion (which is Rule #7 in Tranquility by Tuesday, by the way) is that adventures can be pricey. And they can be! But they don’t have to be. Here are some ways to have a more adventurous life on the cheap.
